It's been a while...

Hey Y'all!

I know it's been a while since I've posted on here. I think July was the last time? I don't know. But, a lot of things have happened since then. I had an episode of 3 kidney stones that made me leave camp a week earlier than expected. I moved into a private room at Western, and absolutely love it. I passed the Praxis. I got into the Education Department at Western. I made a 3.116 last semester. I was snowed in for a week at my house during Christmas break. That's really all I can think about at the moment.

Last weekend we had a Journey weekend with Mountain Ridge Chrysalis. Boy, was it amazing! God's love never ceases to amaze me. I'm still being blessed from the weekend, and that was over a week ago! God's amazing. Take the time today to realize just how much God truly loves you. It's an indescribable feeling that nothing here on Earth can ever replace.

This is my last semster here at WCU before I'm in a school system. I start Block (going into the schools one day a week) next fall, and am VERY excited about that. Then in the Spring 2012 I start Intern 1 (2-3 days a week in the school), and then in the fall 2012 I begin Intern 2 which is the full out student teaching, where I will be in the school 5 days a week.

I've decided to move back home to Asheville for my intern 1 and intern 2 semesters. I'm very excited about moving back home. It will definitely be an adjustment, but in the long run it's going to be what is most cost effective. I'm hoping to be placed in an Asheville City school. That way I can tell if what I've always wanted to do (teach in an inner city school) is what I really want to do for the rest of my life, or if I want to just teach in a regular county school. I'm excited about it. :)

I'm also heading back to Camp Tekoa for the summer, where I will be the Day Camp Director again. Out of my 3 summers at Camp, last year was by far my favorite, because of what I did all summer. I have a feeling that this will be my last summer, which stinks but, sometimes all good things must come to an end.

I really can't think of anything else to say. I'm going to try my absolute hardest to write in this thing more often. We'll see how that goes...haha.

Take Care!
