You never hesitate to wrap me in endless grace.

First off, I want to apologize for not writing in foreverrrr. Camp has been going full-forced, and with very little breaks. I have been sick for the past week or so, but am finally getting over it. :)

I'm currently sitting in my room at camp on my break. As I look out my window I see the lake, kids coming back from playing swamp canoes, the spillway, kids jumping off the diving dock. I then think to myself that one day this wonderful job that I have had for 3 years will one day have to come to an end. I'm not really sure how I feel about it. To be completely honest, I'm not looking forward to the day when I realize that I am bound for new experiences. Camp is what I have known for the past 2 years, and has shaped me into a new person. Off my soap box, starting now.

I have fallen in love with Meredith Andrews song titled, "In Your arms" They have very powerful lyrics, and I absolutely love her voice.

I'm ready to find a home church in Cullowhee, I hope to find a wonderful one when I get back.

I really don't know what else to say.

Ok bye.

I was going to post the title of the song that came up on grooveshark. And it was Clemson University's fight song. so, GO TIGERS!!

Well, today was the last full day at the beach. I've had a very restful week off, and could live like this for the rest of my life. However, I know that that will get boring, so I'll get up and go. haha. Today we all went out on the beach for a good two hours. We were in the water the whole time. It was nice to just swim around a bit, and have fun with the family one last time. All of the Motley crew has never really been together fully since the end of May. It's been good getting to hang out with everyone. Tonight we ordered pizza, then went out and got ice cream at this little place called "The Scoop" on the main road. We always go get ice cream there on the last night that we are here, so we kept up with that tradition. We then came back home, and played a couple games of Uno. good times, good times. Tomorrow we plan on leaving no later than 10. Katie and I will be driving directly to camp. I want to go and get settled back in my room, clean up a little bit, etc. And of course, see a few of my favorites. :) I should probably go to bed. But, I'm not tired. Sorry this has now officially become whatever pops in my head. Which is fun, I guess? I don't know. I'm not you, so I don't know what you would be thinking. ok. bed. yes.

Night y'all.

Tomorrow is the last day of my vacay.

Today, I have done absolutely nothing. Really, I'm sure your thinking that I did do something, but I can honestly say that I did nothing all day today. Well, we did go out tonight, so I guess you could say that I got ready to go out for that. Maybe, perhaps? Yes, I would say so. I love thunderstorms on the beach. It's something that I honestly wish for while I'm down at the beach. Today it happened, but it was one of the scariest moments of my life.

At around 4 this afternoon I decided I wanted to take a little nap. I remember falling asleep, but then waking up to thinking why on earth is my mom being so loud opening up the dresser. I didn't think much of it, and went back to bed. Another minute passed, and I heard the same noise. At this point I was frustrated, got up, and realized that it wasn't my mom being obnoxious and opening the drawers of the dresser. Rather, it was a thunderstorm, a thunderstorm on the beach, one of my favorite things. So I jumped up, and sat out on the porch waiting for the show to start. After watching a few lightning strikes hit, I came to the conclusion that that was probably all it was going to do. I had to go get ready for dinner, so I went to go get ready. Here comes the scary part of the story...

So I step out of the shower, and start to feel the house shake. Every now and then you will feel your bed shake from the wind; But it was way more than that this time. It was the whole house. It would thunder, and the house would rattle. The wind sounded like a train was going by. It was raining so hard that it flooded our driveway, and the main road. I've seen some bad storms before, but nothing like this. After about 15 minutes it was done, and over with. Dad and I waited around for the 11 o clock news to start so that we could see a report on the storm that passed by. Nothing. Nothing was mentioned about it. I guess we are just used to our normal little mountain storms. haha. Anyways, scary thunderstorm on the beach story: Check.

So I was doing a little research online today about what all will be going on at Western in the fall. For example, what movies will be playing, what trips Base Camp Cullowhee will be sponsoring, concerts, and just different activities I can become involved in. I clicked on the concert section where I soon found out that Corey Smith, yes, Corey Smith will be coming to Western on September 9th. Tickets are only 10 dollars for students, which is even better. So I asked around to see if anyone wanted to go. A girl on my hall from last year was like, yes! count me in! So excited about going with Jenna. September 9th can't get her quick enough. Here is one of Corey's songs that I absolutely love. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUfEKvzsfEY .

Ok, long enough post? I believe so.

Good night y'all.

Wilmington.

Well today was very eventful. I drove out to Wilmington, got a pedicure, drove around some more, and at 6:28 I met Katie at her apartment. We went to a great Hibachi place, where we talked about Camp, and her trip to Europe. It was wonderful getting to see her, it had almost been a year since I last saw her. After that I drove back, got lost twice, but finally made it back home. Only 2 full days left here at the beach. I love it here, but I also love/miss camp.

Ok, here's the next topic of choice that I will be writing on: My beautiful car.

I drive a 1996 blurple (blue on cloudy days, purple on sunny days) Jeep Cherokee Sport. The Jeep has 242+ miles on it. It has it's moments, but for the most part it's a good car. I have had that car since my junior year of highschool, when I got my license. I know that pretty soon the car will have to go, or will die. I will most likely cry when that happens. For real, I will cry, because it's been a part of me for the past almost 6 years, and I wouldn't have another car to drive around in.

Ok. Bed time, busy day at the ocean tomorrow. ;)

My life.

So, I've always tried to get involved in this whole blogging thing. After many hours of debating whether I should get one or not, I finally fell into temptation, and signed up for one. :)

My goal for this blog is for me to write in, tell all my thoughts, get on a soap box, have venting sessions, talk about whats going on in my life, what has happened before in my life, etc. Basically when you read this, I want you to know exactly what is going on in my head. So since it's my first official blog on this site (I've had 2 before, and clearly those didn't work out) I have decided to give a little bit of info on what I am currently doing in my life.

I am a junior at Western Carolina University, studying Elementary Education, and also minoring in Sociology. I love Western. It's a tiny school, but I love it. In a way, it's good for me to be at a small school, I focus more, because, well, there is nothing to do. ha.

Another big thing that is happening in my life right now is working at Camp Tekoa for my third summer. I am the Day Camp Director, and out of the three summers I've been there, this job is my absolute favorite. My days go from 6:45 a.m.-5 p.m. every day, so needless to say, by the end of the day I'm exhausted. I love every aspect of my job, hanging out with the kids, talking with parents, and being there for the staff who are with me in Day Camp that week.

This week is my week off at Camp. My family is staying at Holden Beach till Saturday. It has been nice to just have some R&R, and not have any obligations for the day/evening. Tomorrow I'm meeting up with Katie, a former co-worker of mine from camp, over in Wilmington for supper. Before that, I'm getting a pedicure, and doing a little bit of retail therapy before dinner. Super excited about that.

Ok. That was fun. Now I have to keep my motivation up to actually keep this thing up, and running.

Y'all have a good night. :)
